​Ladies and Gentlemen,
By now we have arquired considerable experience in the «handicraft»
production of choice gastronomic specialities. To this end we have been
devoting our most passionate and serious efforts to use best quality and
natural ingredients without adding any colouring or preserving agent,
according to old traditional cookery methods and recipes. We have conjured
up magic worlds of flavours to be tasted and enjoyed, giving free play to
the passions of real gourmets. We advise the most exacting connoisseurs as
well as anybody who loves good food to try the tasty delicate specialities
we are presenting and about which we are giving some hints of how to
enjoy them best.
​The starter represents the first course of a lunch and precedes the
so-called first dish. It is composed of various foods, essentially cold and in
small quantities, fit to whet the appetite and to tempt and predispose the
palate to the following courses.
All cookeries in the world own their starters whose definition includes both
products in oil and in vinegar as small appetizers stimulating appetite.
However, they are more and more reaching a well wider and deeper connotation,
to the extent of frequently replacing a complete meal. They exist in
an infinity of varieties: bittersweet, in oil with a base of tomato, enriched
with aromatic herbs, tuna and anchovies.
Therefore, it has to be inviting, cherished in the least details to be eyecatching.
The custom to open meals with a starter is most common and
it belongs both to the traditions of high cookery and to those of country
and family cooking.
The side dish is a fresh or cooked arrangement of vegetables or mushrooms
that accompanies the main course of meat, fish or eggs. Tealdi offers a fully
complete variety to satisfy all palates and recipes with creation and taste.
